In order to remove iron oxide from the surface of iron and steel parts, after pickling they are cleaned with an aqueous solution of ammonium chloride or zinc chloride or a mixture of ammonium chloride and zinc chloride. It is then sent to a hot dip bath. Hot dip galvanizing has the advantages of uniform coating, strong adhesion and long service life.
